R. CARMEN DAVIS, CIC

Carmen Davis was born and raised in Roseboro, NC. He learned the ideals of hard work at a young age working at his parent’s retail florist in Benson, NC. Carmen attended Harrells Christian Academy and went on to graduate from Campbell University in 1997 with a degree in Mass Communications and minor in Public Relations. His dream was to work in radio and television, which he did for several years.  

In 2003, Carmen was offered employment by a local insurance agency. Upon accepting the position, Carmen worked tirelessly to ensure his clients had the best service and most comprehensive insurance coverage on the market. During his tenure, he organized and implemented several niche marketing campaigns, introduced new targeted classes of business and obtained his Certified Insurance Counselor designation; a rigorous five-year course study focusing on specific insurance exposures.  

Upon leaving the prior agency in 2012, Carmen served as operations manager for his parents retail florist. In late 2012 with the encouragement of family, friends and several insurance industry colleagues, Carmen opened Davis Insurance Agency in Benson, NC. Today, Davis Insurance Agency focuses on providing individualized customer service and multiple product/carrier selections.  In January 2019, Carmen was asked to serve a sixth term on the Board of Directors for 1,2,3 Go, a non-profit organization assisting children with developmental disabilities.  Carmen continues to give back to the community, by serving on several additional professional and networking organizations.   In July 2016, Carmen began work on his CRM (Certified Risk Manager) designation through the National Alliance and plans to begin work on his CPRM (Certified Personal Risk Manager) designation in 2019.    

Carmen is married to his beautiful wife, Sarah, has two sons, Brewer and Morgan and a black Lab named Ruby. In his spare time, Carmen enjoys fishing, hunting, gardening, golf, guitar, singing, college basketball and football, collecting rock and roll memorabilia and spending time with his family.
